The work includes all activities necessary to enable resource management activities along the roads in this project. The project includes Mobilization of equipment to perform the work, and consists of a Base Bid item with the following summary of work: MP 15: Sidecast slide material from roadway to allow unhindered vehicular access to points beyond. Work at this location is paid as part of the mobilization pay item. MP 15.5: Excavate slide materials from ditches, roadway, bridge deck, and the creek creek. Work begins just before the bridge and ends at the end of the damaged road section near MP 15.75. Logs are buried in the creek that indicate the bottom of the excavation. End-haul all excess slide material from the creek to the rock pit shown on the map. Move riprap in the ditch near MP 15.65 to direct stream flow into an existing 36" culvert. Fill and reshape any washed out sections of roadway between MP 15.5 and MP 16 utilizing suitable material excavated from the stream. Excavator rental time is included in the contract for dressing this site up. Potential bidders are encouraged to examine the work sites prior to bidding on this project.
