McHenry County Division of Transportation desires to contract with a qualified engineering firm to assist the County of McHenry in developing Phase I Preliminary Engineering with an option for Phase II Design Engineering for safety improvements at three (3) intersections located in McHenry County. The intersections are Spring Grove Road at Miller Road, Alden Road at O'Brien Road, and Maple Street at Coral Road. All work shall conform to IDOT/FHWA policies and procedures for federal aid projects and will be completed under applicable BLR and BDE Manuals. Spring Grove Road at Miller Road: The intersection of Spring Grove Road and Miller Road is located in Unincorporated McHenry County. Spring Grove Road is under the jurisdiction of McHenry County Division of Transportation and Miller Road is under the jurisdiction of McHenry Township. The 4-legged intersection is 2-way stop controlled. Miller Road is stop controlled. The intersection is not at a skew and does not have significant horizontal or vertical curves. The surrounding land use is agricultural. Each location will have a separate Project Development Report and will be processed independently through IDOT.
