The work shall consist of the rehabilitation and replacement of sanitary sewers, including the construction of approximately 1,000 linear feet of gravity sewer. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be furnished by each Bidder as required by the Contract Documents. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. Time and Completion and Liquidated Damages: Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" by the Owner and to fully complete the contract within 150 calendar days. Bidder must agree to pay as liquidated damages the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in the General Conditions.
