The Engineer's estimate is $3,000,000 including all alternatives. The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County procurement services and its service provider DemandStar by Onvia are the only authorized sources of bidding documents/proposal forms . Bidding documents/proposal forms obtained from any other source may be an incomplete set of documents. Bidders using bidding documents/proposal forms obtained from other sources are advised to contact the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County procurement services team to provide a contact name, mailing address phone number and email address to obtain a complete set of bidding documents and to enable receipt of necessary addenda. Reproduction of these documents without the express permission of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is prohibited The Work of this contract consists of the construction of a Leachate and Landfill Gas System and related construction at the Blackwell Landfill located in Warrenville and Unincorporated DuPage County, Illinois. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment for the construction of the work shown and indicated on the Contract Drawings and Contract Specifications. The principal features of this contract include the following: 1) Mobilization and Demobilization of equipment and labor. 2) Performance and Payment Bonds 3) Other Project Bonds 4) Site Preparation 5) Erosion and Stormwater Management Controls 6) Drill and Install 18 Dual Extraction Wells 7) Supply and Install Wellheads and Vaults and New and Existing Well Locations 8) Supply & Install Remote Extraction Wellheads 9) Supply & Install 6" and 4" diameter HDPE piping to connect new and existing wells with associated road crossings, header access risers, isolation valves, and condensate collection sumps 10) Supply & Install air supply and forcemain piping and electrical conduit with associated cleanouts, air release and isolation valves 11) Install Leachate Collection Trench with associated cleanouts, header access risers, and leachate collection sumps 12) Supply & Install direct burial electrical service from existing service location to the Leachate Loadout Pad 13) Provide & Install leachate storage tank facility 14) Provide & Install utility flare equipment 15) Provide & Install an air compressor and air dryer system 16) Provide electrical work to connect the new utility flare and leachate storage facility to new primary electric service provided by others 17) Abandonment of existing features 18) Restore & Revegetate the facility B. Provide a full-time, experienced site superintendent to oversee and direct all work for the duration of the project; communicate with Owner, CQA Consultant, and sub-contractors; and shall, if requested, submit construction logs describing completed, in progress, and upcoming work, as well as describing outstanding issues or concerns. C. Provide all necessary facilities (e.g., construction trailer, electrical, sanitary, potable water, etc.) as may be required for the Contractor's personnel. The Owner shall provide prior approval of any Contractor facility locations.
