Work of the contract includes the rehabilitation and improvements to the City of Texas City's 10,000-gallon Process Water Hydropneumatic Tank at the Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility, located at 3901 Bay Street Ext. Texas City, TX 77590. The work also includes recoating of yard piping at the tank facility as indicated on the Drawings. PART A: Hydropneumatic Tank at WWTP Mechanical Repairs An allowance is included in the Bid Proposal for the cost of mechanical repairs to the hydropneumatic tank, to be utilized at the direction of the engineer. PART B: Hydropneumatic Tank at WWTP Recoating Replace interior wet area tank coating per Section 09920. Replace exterior tank coating per Section 09920. Wash tank before each exterior coat is applied, to remove contaminants. Replace coating on all exterior tank piping (inlets, outlets, & valves) and appurtenances attached to the tank. Provide 100% containment of blast media and overspray for all blasting and coating operations. No exceptions. PART C: Yard Piping Recoating Recoat the exterior yard piping per the drawings. The recoating involves two (2) process water pumps & motors, piping, valves, to the limits as shown on the drawings. Submit questions about bidding documents to the Engineer/Professional. Inquiries are permitted until ninety-six (96) hours prior to bid opening. Necessary replies will be issued to bidders of record as addenda, which become a part of the bidding documents. Oral instructions do not form a part of the bidding documents. Bidders should contact the Engineer/Professional not less than 48 hours before bid opening to secure any addenda that may affect bidding
