Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to renovate 825 SF area on the 2nd floor of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) for a new veterinary dentistry which includes an operatory, office, and mechanical/electrical room. The office and mechanical/electrical rooms function to support the dentistry operations. The work includes the coordination and connection of new highly specialized dentistry cabinetries and equipment to existing building utilities. Scope of work includes but is not limited to the construction of fire and sound rated walls, metal doors, doorframes, double door with electrified hardware for an automated door opener; new ceilings, shelving and counters, a new condensing unit, lighting controls, fire alarm and data/telecom work. While primary access to complete work for tie-in with existing utilities will be from the floor level below (1st floor), the overall scope requires work at all levels of the VMTH from basement to roof. The 1st floor plaster ceiling will be removed and replaced with a new gyp board ceiling upon completion of work, while the existing lights will be removed and re-installed in the new gypsum board ceiling. The accessibility scope for the project consists of the replacement of the guard and handrails at the east stairwell. Estimated Construction Cost of this project is $1,056,000.00 (Base Bid) Contract Time: 150 days The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: B General Building.
