Site work for a water / sewer project in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Location: Work is generally located on Warren Avenue from the intersection with Hick Street to past the intersection with Hemingway Street. Outline of Work : The project includes, but is not limited to the following items: 1. The work for the City of Portland includes the installation of approximately 1,290 linear feet of new gravity sanitary sewer pipe, 1,200 linear feet of new gravity storm drain pipe, installation of precast catch basins and drain manholes, and associated construction for street trench repair, traffic control during construction and other incidental work including; support of existing underground utilities including water, natural gas, electrical and telecommunications utilities during excavations. 2. The work for Portland Water District includes replacing seven (7) longside copper water service lines that will be impacted by the sewer and storm drain work. The Contractor shall furnish and install water services and appurtenances in Warren Avenue as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. The project has an expected duration of eight (8) months. Pre-bid Meeting: There will be no pre-bid meeting for this project. Bids from vendors not registered with the Purchasing Office may be rejected; receipt of this document directly from the City of Portland indicates registration. Should a vendor receive this Invitation from a source other than the City, please contact 207-874-8654 to ensure that your firm is listed as a vendor for this bid. Other Information: The Contractor shall make note of the schedule and sequence requirements presented in the contract documents. The City intends to start this project as soon as possible after the bid is awarded. All work must be substantially completed by June 30, 2024 and the entire project ready for owner acceptance by October 18, 2024. All questions shall be directed in writing ONLY to the Purchasing Office, being received by noon at least five business days prior to the bid opening date.
