8,000-feet of 8-inch water main 700-feet of 8-inch Horizontal Directional Drill under Kalamazoo River 70 water services 3,300 tons of HMA The River Road Water Main project consists of placing approximately 8,000-feet of 8-inch water main along River Road and Stringham Rd. The water main on Stringham Road includes a 700-ft Horizontal Directional Drill under the Kalamazoo River. The new water main will be connected to existing mains at both ends. River Rd will be detoured. One lane of River Rd and Stringham Rd will be cut, removed and replaced in-kind after the water main has been accepted. The full width of both roads will be capped with HMA.
