Water System Upgrades Watermain Replacement, Water Meter Replacements, Filter Media Replacement DWSRF 7718-01 The work includes providing and installing new filter media in 1 unit with 4 cells. Work also includes removing and disposing of the existing media. Provide 24" of media and support gravel layers at approx. 35 cubic yards. Testing of the new media for acceptance prior to recommissioning into service is required PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS: Cont 1: Replace & add watermains. Includes HMA replacement, curb & gutter, sanitary, storm basin, lawns, sidewalk, & lead service lines. Cont 2: Replace 659 water meters within customers' buildings. Cont 3: Provide & install new filter media. Dispose of old. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contract 1 - Watermain Replacement: Replacement and addition of watermains including associated HMA replacement, curb and gutter replacement, sanitary and storm basin rework, lawn and sidewalk restoration with other appurtenances. Scope also includes replacement of lead service lines on new and existing watermains to inside the customers structure. Contract 2 - Water Meter Replacement: Replace approximately 659 water meters within the customers building. Coordinate all work with the City and Customer.
