Base Bid: $4,400,000 Alternate No. 1: $700,000 Alternate No. 2: $2,200,000 Alternate No. 3: $3,000,000 Total Bid: $10,300,000 The Base Bid and Additive Alternate Bids Consists of Constructing a Total of Approximately 10,500-Linear Feet of Rock Dike Consisting of Approximately 81,000- Tons of Rip-Rap and Approximately 55,350-Square Yards of Woven Geotextile Fabric. No Pre-Bid Conference will be held on this project Only the bids of contractors licensed under Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law will be considered for bids exceeding $50,000.00. Should the bid exceed $50,000.00, Contractors desiring to bid shall submit evidence that they hold license of proper classification under "Heavy Construction" in full force and effect at the time Bidding Documents are requested from the office of the Engineers. As evidence of good faith of the bidder, a "Bid Guarantee" equivalent to 5% of the base bid plus additive alternates, consisting of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, shall accompany each bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required and within the time specified The successful Contractor will be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract as more fully defined in the Bidding Documents The Work site is located along the Freshwater Bayou (FWB) Canal in Vermilion Parish, between the FWB Lock and the Gulf Intracoastal Water Way (GIWW). The FWB Canal provides direct access from the GIWW to the Gulf of Mexico through a lock structure. The Project Site is accessible fromthe public boat launch at Intracoastal City, the GIWW, and thru the FWB lock. See Section IV-1 for directions to the boat launch at Intracoastal City.
