Renovation of a mixed-use development in Temple, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials, dust protection, and equipment needed to install PIV security access on the Emergency Department Decon room exterior door located at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care Facility in Temple, at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, Texas 76504 at building 163, 1st floor, Emergency Department. After all work is completed, the contractor will have a walkthrough with the VA POC or Alternative POC to ensure all work is completed and ready to receive payment. The contractor shall provide all personnel, services, vehicles, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, dust protection, supplies, facility supervision, administration supervision and any other item(s) necessary to perform and accomplish this service. The contractor shall be familiar with all the terms, conditions, and requirement herein contained. All work must comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Site visit will be held on Thursday the 25th of May between 10am. Contractors will meet at building 53 on the Temple VA campus @ 9:45am. POC for this site visit is Bradley Arndt. Contractors will then be shuttled to the Emergency Department to look at the scope of work requested. Temple VA address 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, Texas 76504 POC Bradley Arndt Engineering Technician (POC) (254) 493-8916 The period of performance for this service shall be less than 30 days to complete. Project Requirements 1.The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials, dust collection/protection, and equipment needed for the performance of this service such as door security, programing, and so on. It is a complete security job and programming to the C-Cure system. 2. Due to the location of this installation all work will needing to be performed will need to be coordinated between the Contractor and the POC to ensure there is no interruption of services provided by the Emergency Department (ED). 3. The Contractor will be required to supply and install all necessary hardware to provide Software House C-Cure 9000 PIV access control on the Decon room exterior door. This will include a new iStar Ultra controller (installed in 1C161) for 8 doors with the ability to control up to 32 Doors so there is room to grow if needed. 4. All cable runs will be labeled at both ends. Existing wire trays and J hooks can be utilized to ensure all cabling is supported every 4', if no existing trays or J hooks are present the contractor will be required to provide these. 5. All through wall penetrations must be done using Hilti CP653 Firestop Speed Sleeves. 6. The Contractor will be required to run and install a new Altronix power supply in the electrical room 1C1161. 8. The locations for this installation with emergency power is as follows: A. Altronix Power Supply/Charger in room 1C161. B. iStar Ultra control panel will be installed in Room 1C161. C. The PIV door access will include but not limited to maglock, push button, PIV card reader, request to exit, emergency power, and electronic strikes, will be installed on the exterior Decon room door, 1E117, and still maintain a single action egress. Cabling will run back to the control panel in 1C161. 9. The Contractor is required to properly program the new door into the C-Cure 9000 system & connect the new panel to the fire alarm system. 10. The Contractor will be required to provide all locking devices, whether it be maglocks, electronic strikes, or BEST mortise lock for this door. 11. All wiring installed in electrical rooms or any other areas without a ceiling must be ran in conduit to eliminate damage to the wiring. 12. The Contractor is required to ensure the minimization of dust and debris by using HEPA filtration while working in the clean or sterile environments of the Project. 13. ED department is a 24hr operation and contractor must follow infection control requirements to control dust during cable pulling & core drilling from locations/rooms.
