Project is in the City of Elmhurst Fiscal Year 2025-2029. As of April 9, 2025, per owner, construction has not started, there is no plan for construction to begin at this time. Project has been designed. This project was originally bid as a package with other capital projects in 2023, however, it was pulled from the project at that time as there have been minimal breakage in the current force main since the new Atrium Lift Station was placed in service, and the delay in residential development in the Atrium service area. Due to the probability of line breaks on this force main, the pumps at Atrium Lift Station have only been run at approximately forty percent of full capacity to keep pressures lower in the force main. This increases the pump intervals and wear on the pumps. The force main continues to age and is still in need of repair in order to avoid potential emergency situations. The engineering is complete. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
