Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ripon, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Project A: Approximately 600' feet of water main reconstruction including hydrants, valves, fittings and water services; 600' of sanitary sewer reconstruction including manholes and laterals; 780'of storm sewer reconstruction including manholes, inlets and piping (12", 36" RCP and 36" equivalent HERCP); a dual 4'x8' box culvert at the creek crossing; roadway reconstruction consisting of excavation, base, curb and gutter, concrete flatwork and asphalt paving. Project B: Approximately 500' of creek bank revetment including rip rap and grading; removal of an existing stone arch bridge and block retaining walls; minor storm sewer work; a concrete or asphalt trail is included as an additive alternate. Project C: Approximately 2,100 square yards of fine grading a gravel trail along with 370 tons of HMA and site restoration; an additive alternate is included which includes excavation, 1,000 tons of dense graded base, grading and storm sewer improvements. Project D: Approximately 900 square feet of sidewalk replacement; 1,250 square yards of concrete pavement replacement. Project E: Approximately 1,625 square yards of asphalt pavement replacement, including removal of existing pavement, fine grading and HMA paving. All projects are expected to have traffic control, erosion & sedimentation control and site restoration. It is the intention of the Owner to award each project on an individual basis. Contractors may choose to bid on their choice of projects, ranging from one to all projects. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Pursuant to Section 66.0903, Wisconsin Statutes, the minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by Local wage rates. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to 40 ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by 41 ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered 42 to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. 43 Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other 2 interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
