ITEM 1 -CHESTNUT STREET AND WHARTON STREET/ATLANTIC STREET This portion of the project is to add pedestrian crosswalks and traffic calming bump outs to the intersection of Chestnut Street and Wharton Street / Atlantic Street. The work includes, but is not limited to: pavement, sidewalk, sign, and curb removal; pavement mill & overlay; grading; installation of curb, sidewalk, signage, detectable warning surfaces, and crosswalk / road striping. ITEM 2 - FEDERAL STREET AND MULBERRY STREET / WHARTON STREET This portion of project is to add a new pedestrian crosswalk and stop bars to the intersection of Federal Street and Mulberry Street / Wharton Street. The work includes, but is not limited to: pavement, sidewalk, and curb removal; pavement mill & overlay; sign relocation; grading; installation of curb, sidewalk, signage, detectable warning surfaces, and crosswalk / road striping. ITEM 3 - UNION STREET AND BROAD STREET This portion of the project is to add a new pedestrian crosswalk and traffic calming bump outs to the intersection of Union Street and Broad Street. The work includes, but is not limited to: pavement, sidewalk, and curb removal; pavement mill & overlay; sign relocation; grading; installation of curb, sidewalk, detectable warning surfaces, and crosswalk / road striping. Bids are especially invited from minority business enterprises and women's business enterprises (MBE/WBE). This project is funded through the money from the Sussex County Realty Transfer Tax. The work will be subject to the Equal Opportunity requirements of the program. The Town of Milton reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. Each Bidder must submit a bid security of not less than ten (10) percent of the bid amount, in a form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the bid opening.
