Site A: Dundurn Park, 610 York Blvd. 1. Mobilization, site fencing, and silt fencing. Additional fencing and other safety measures may be required to ensure public safety throughout construction. 2. Removal and disposal off-site of existing play structures and swing and footings completely. 3. Excavation and removal from site of existing asphalt paving 4. Excavation and regrading on site of existing safety surfacing wood fibre and existing material within new pathway extents, including all granular base, subsoil and topsoil into a berm as noted on drawings. 5. Relocation of existing stone blocks as detailed on drawings 6. Supply and install playground area, including clear stone drainage layer, and drainage tile with outlet to soak away pit. 7. Supply and installation of new play equipment as specified. 8. Supply & installation of poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing, set on granular base, including 3rd party drop height testing. 9. Regrading as required, and supply and installation of new granular base for new asphalt pathway layout, and 2 bench pads - NOTE ASPHALT and CONCRETE PADS AT THIS SITE ARE BY OTHERS (FUTURE). 10. Supply and installation of topsoil and sod at pathway and playground edges, and restoration of disturbed areas with seeding as a result of the Work within this Contract. 11. The site work areas at this site will be pre-cleared by Archaeological Consultants, but review of the excavation and demolition work by the same consultants during this contract will be required. Site B: Macassa Park, 777 Upper Sherman Ave. 1. Mobilization and site fencing. Additional fencing and other safety measures may be required to ensure public safety throughout construction. 2. Removal and disposal off-site of existing play structures & existing swing and footings. 3. Excavation and removal from site of existing safety surfacing wood fibre, including all granular drainage layer and subsoil. 4. Supply and install playground area, including clear stone drainage layer, and drainage tile with outlet. 5. Supply and installation of new play equipment as specified. 6. Supply & installation of poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing for playground area, set on granular base, including 3rd party drop height testing. 7. Installation only of 300mm depth Owner-supplied wood fibre safety surfacing for swings area only. 8. Provisional Item: Supply & Install 150mm depth 19mm Granular A base for Rubber Safety Surfacing at Swings Area only (260 m2 x 150mm x 2.4 tonnes/m3). 9. Alternate Item: Supply and install Poured-in-Place Rubber Safety Surfacing at swings area, in lieu of the item 8b Wood Fibre Safety Surfacing.
