Site work for a civil project in Georgetown, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

A. The purpose for the Ocean Outfall Repairs is to address deficient system cathodic protection conditions, including repair/replacement of bonding wires and anodes, as documented in the Inspection Report date November 8, 2022 contained in Attachment B. Additional repairs and/or inspections may be performed if needed and at the direction of the County. B. The quality of inspection video/photography is of critical importance to the County. The noted repairs shall be done in clear visibility conditions such that documentation of repairs relative to video and still photography quality is acceptable. Timing of inspection shall be coordinated with and approved by the County Representative. The Vendor shall use all available days to perform the inspection, including weekends and Holidays, if visibility conditions are appropriate. C. All diving operations shall be performed in accordance with the standards of USACE EM 385-1-1 or OSHA Commercial Diving Operations. All Vendor questions must be submitted in writing to Mark Parker, P.E. of the Sussex County Engineering Department at mark.parker@sussexcountyde.gov no later than ten (10) business days prior to the bid opening. Sussex County is requesting bids from Vendors to provide specific repairs to an Ocean Outfall pipeline that extends 6,670 linear feet into the Atlantic Ocean between Bethany Beach, DE and Middlesex Beach, DE. The Vendor will be required to perform all specified repairs and provide a brief report with associated support video and photo documentation. Vendors should visit the site at their earliest convenience to familiarize themselves with any constraints associated with accessing the proposed work. There is no pre-bid conference associated with this project. All Vendor questions must be submitted in writing to Mark Parker, P.E. of the Sussex County Engineering Department at mark.parker@sussexcountyde.gov no later than ten (10) business days prior to the bid opening. The County will respond to all questions in writing and issue a copy of responses to all prospective Bidders. Sussex County reserves the right to extend the time and place of the bid opening on not less than two (2) calendar days notice by electronic means to those who have obtained copies of the Contract Documents. Sussex County reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids.
