Azusa Unified School District gave a formal bid for Modular Kitchen Fabrication (excluding equipment inside) to solicit competitive manufacturers to provide the best quality products and services. This RFP is for the modular building itself. Reference drawings and specifications are given in the public file. Questions Due Date: Jun 16th 2023, 4:00 PM PDT Intent to Bid Due Date: Jun 22nd 2023, 11:00 AM PDT All questions must be submitted in writing via the Bonfire Hub Bids E-Procurement Platform, available at https://azusa.bonfirehub.com, no later than Questions received after this deadline may not be answered. Each Formal Bid shall be accompanied by an original copy of either the certified or cashier's check, or bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to DISTRICT as a guarantee that Bidder, if its proposal is accepted, shall promptly execute the Agreement, furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, furnish a Payment Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, and furnish certificates evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the General Conditions. In the event the successful Bidder fails to enter into the Contract and execute the required documents, such bid security will be forfeited. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and effect through the guarantee period as specified in the General Conditions. The bid security (bid bond) shall be submitted to the DISTRICT in a sealed envelope no later than the scheduled bid due date and time. Late submission will render the bid unresponsive. A time stamp is available at the District reception counter. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids; to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the Work; to negotiate contract terms with the successful Bidder; and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids. Also, the Owner reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder if the Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and defects and to reject any or all proposals. The Owner, also reserves the right to accept that proposal which is deemed to be for the best interests of the Owner. The decision on which proposal is accepted will be determined on a combination of cost, features and service; and may not necessarily be the lowest bid. The Bidder shall provide pricing on specific manufacturer and model as described in the Bidding Documents, presented in a form giving itemized prices for each item, with separate total prices for delivery and installation. Or the manufacturer designs a comparable one and quote. Quote, designs should be correlated by indicating drawing numbers on the quote. Any and all city, state, occupational and government taxes which applicable to this shall be included and added as a separate charge. All figures shall be included in a grand total package. Bids shall be valid for ten (10) days after Bid deadline date, and shall indicate same. Failure to comply with the above may be cause for rejection
