The City of Taft is soliciting sealed Request for Proposals from qualified firms to provide Professional Engineering Services for the Design and Preliminary Engineering services of the City of Taft Transit Electrification Project - CML 5193 (045), a Federally funded project. All responsive proposals shall be reviewed and evaluated by the CITY in order to determine which proposer best meets the CITY'S needs for the PROJECT. The criteria by which the CITY shall evaluate proposals are set forth in the Request for Proposals. Proposers are advised that, as required by federal law, the City of Taft is implementing a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements (DBE). The DBE Contract goal is 7 percent. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - disadvantage business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, or disability in consideration for an award. The CITY reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any irregularities in any proposal or the proposal process.
