Site work for a mixed-use development in Monument, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
Reference Number 0000321654 The Town of Monument, Colorado (Town), is seeking proposals for Design/Build of Heart of Monument Park fulfilling the scope and criteria outlined in this Request for Proposals. The Town of Monument will receive a donated 0.45-acre tract of land located at Adams Street from a local church. The desire is to build a playground meeting Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Standards that would be open to the public. This project is a partnership between the Town, the Monument Hill Kiwanis (Kiwanis) and the Monument Community Presbyterian Church (MCPC). The park will be near the 3rd Street Trailhead of the Santa Fe Trail and our Water Wise Demonstration Garden. This area is currently a stormwater detention pond. The goals are to create a vibrant, collaborative, multi-generational and universally accessible space for the public to enjoy while retaining or replacing the stormwater detention functioning. We want to establish a playground that considers safety and sustainable, long-term maintenance. The goal is to have this project break ground no later than July 4, 2024, to commemorate several significant dates; The Town's 145th birthday, MCPC's 150th birthday, and the Kiwanis 50th birthday.
