"As of June 29,2023, no bids received. A timeline for the rebid date of this project is not yet available. The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Excavation, cleaning, and repair of fourteen (14) bridge H-piles, including painting, encasement, and backfill when complete. Removal of asphalt overlay and seal to expose existing joints for placement of new header material and repair of steel angle, plate, or rail as directed by Engineer. Placement of new backer rod and seal for each joint. Bidder shall also provide a letter from the Surety Company verifying the Bidder has the bonding capacity as outlined for the project and that the Surety Company will bond projects for Contractor as outlined in the specifications. The OWNER is not obligated to consider a Bidder's proposal if Bidder is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received complete Bidding Documents/Project Manual from the Issuing Office. Digital versions of the Bidding Documents/ Project Manual may be obtained for a non-refundable payment of $50.00. The last day for contractor questions is 5:00 PM, local time Wednesday, June 21, 2023. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 60 days, and the time allowed for completion and readiness for final payment is 90 days from the date of commencement. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond completed on the attached Bid Bond Form with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, and a Certification of Insurance will be required. A Certification of Insurance will be required from the low bidder prior to award of the Contract. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for ninety days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date.
