The Town of Easton is accepting bids for plowing and sanding the approximately 72 miles of Town of Easton roads. All bids shall supply the following information: 1. List of available snow plowing and sanding equipment: state which equipment is dedicated to the Town of Easton, or if not dedicated, length of time after request for service equipment would be available. Minimum requirement shall be two dump truck style plow trucks equipped with front plow, sanders and wing plows. Access to a grader with plow or V-Plow. 2. List of references. 3. Proof of insurance, minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence commercial general liability and Business automobile liability with a total liability limit of at least $1,000,000 per accident. 4. Normal response time to begin plowing after request from town. 5. Cost per hour of each category of equipment, state if price includes labor. 6. Cost per hour for labor (if not included with equipment); if overtime or holiday rate is charged, state what criteria constitutes overtime or holiday. 7. Cost of 4% salt/sand if contractor is supplying; cost of trucking for stockpiling. 8. List of other services available to town. 9. Fuel surcharge if any, state basis of charge. 10. Location of property contractor will stockpile salt/sand for use in town. 11. State the length of contract with the town (May contract with township for multiple years).
