Installation of water mains and related infrastructure The work also includes approximately 240 linear feet of horizontally directional drilled 12" HDPE water main. This includes all work for the base bid and bid alternate. The project includes new fire hydrants, valves, replacing service connections with new services from the new main to the curb stop, and trench pavement. The Town of Hingham reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town. The Work under this contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the installation of approximately 2250 linear feet of new 12-inch ductile-iron water main, the installation of approximately 2300 linear feet of new 8-inch ductile-iron water main, as well as the installation of approximately 300 linear feet of new 6-inch ductile-iron water main. The work also includes approximately 240 linear feet of horizontally directionally drilled 12" HDPE water main. This includes all work for the base bid and bid alternate. Materials for this project will be provided by the Owner with the exception of; erosion control devices, insertion valve, HDPE pipe and appurtenances for the horizontal directional drill, pipe insulation, polyethylene pipe encasement, air releases/blow-offs with road boxes, detectable warning tape, PVC for sleeving the water main at sewer crossings, tracer wire, hydrant markers, backfill materials, Control Density Fill, concrete and asphalt, which shall be provided by the Contractor and included within the Contractor's bid to perform the work
