As of August 18, 2023, bids received were rejected as they were over budget. There is no definite date yet for rebidding. The Winchester High School Drainage Improvements project includes the replacement of four existing single-grate stormwater catch basins on Nelson Street north of Winchester High School with new double-grate catch basins. The project also includes installation of two new drain manhole structures, abandonment of an existing 24 drain pipe, construction of a new 24 drain pipe in a new alignment, drain pipe debris removal, and spot repairs to an existing 36 drainage trunk line. Additionally, construction of a new raised crosswalk at the Nelson Street entrance to the Winchester High School parking lot is included. The purpose of the project is to alleviate stormwater ponding in the Winchester High School parking lots north of the school building.
