Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Glendale, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Stone and masonry veneer repair, removal and replacement of sidewalk cover plates, concrete surface repairs, concrete curb and gutter, and concrete deck patching. Site Directions: Bender Road bridge over the Milwaukee River, between N Milwaukee River Parkway and N Sunny Point Road. This special provision describes the removal and replacement of existing sidewalk plates with new anchor bolts, threaded couplings, screws, and cover plates with bolt patterns adjusted to site conditions. Materials. Slip Resistant Sidewalk Cover Plates and Hardware shown on Standard Detail Plan, conforming to the materials listed in the included Standard Details and Chapter 9 of the WisDOT Bridge Manual. Construction. Prior to beginning work, the Contractor shall inspect the site conditions of existing sidewalk cover plates for the suitability of re-use of existing threaded couplings and anchor bolts to attach replacement cover plates and screws. The Contractor shall notify the Engineer of any locations with existing hardware deemed unsuitable for re-use. The Contractor shall submit shop drawings to the Engineer for approval prior to manufacture of proposed replacement cover plates, detailing the method of installation and layout of replacement bolts and couplings.
