Professional Engineering Services to Conduct a Condition Assessment Report and Repair/Demolition Recommendations for the Market Square Parking Garage. The objective of the assessment is to evaluate the present condition of the facility and its overall structural integrity and develop repair options along with cost estimates. In addition to repair options, the City is also asking for demolition options with cost estimates to be submitted as part of the survey. From this study, recommendations will be made to the approximate extent of repair/demolition, materials/techniques, and their associated costs. The City of Meadville is seeking qualified engineering firms to conduct a conditions assessment report and repair/demolition recommendations for the Market Square Parking Garage. The scope of services for this project will include: Inspection of the general composition and condition of the structural steel beams and columns, concrete floor slabs, metal decking, etc. in the parking garage. Observe and record the surface condition of the concrete floors including cracking and scaling. Observe and record the condition of the structural steel elements as well as the metal panning supporting the concrete floor slabs/decking. Perform a limited sounding evaluation to determine the amount and locations of delamination in the concrete floor slab. Perform an evaluation of accessory components of the garage, including doors, windows, electrical, lighting, roofing, elevator, drainage, etc. and make recommend repair and estimate associated costs. Prepare estimates of the remaining safe service life of each deck and ramp and their essential structural components absent repair. Develop a prioritized list of repair options with associated costs and impact on service life of the garage, or by each deck and ramp when applicable. Develop demolition options with associated costs. As part of the demolition options, include the possibility of salvaging material or equipment for sale to recoup costs. As part of the demolition option, prepare a site plan with associated costs showing how the resulting cleared site could be used as a surface parking lot, maximizing the number of parking spaces while incorporating land development and zoning requirements related to setbacks, landscaping, etc. Direct Responses to: Maryann Menanno City Manager City of Meadville 894 Diamond Park Meadville, PA 16335 Submissions shall contain the following items: The qualifications and experience of the professional personnel to be assigned to the project. Demonstration of familiarity with the community, its infrastructure, and assets. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
