Site work for a water / sewer project in Hudson, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The district owns and operates a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant. Concentrate water discharges from this WTP at a flowrate of between 50 and 100 gallons per minute (gpm). Concentrate flows by gravity to the district's existing two (2) concentrate ponds. These ponds where the water is disposed of through evaporation. No concentrate water is hauled offsite or otherwise discharged. The district's existing concentrate ponds do not contain adequate surface area to dispose of the concentrate water at sufficient quantities to run the RO WTP as long as desired. Therefore, the district wishes to design, permit, and construct a third concentrate pond. A gravity concentrate main is also required to convey water from the existing concentrate main to the district property where the proposed third concentrate pond is to be located.
