Due to the COVID-19 issue a Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. Potential bidders are encouraged to submit questions in writing to Steve Butherus steve@northernengineering.com. All questions and responses will be provided to all plan holders. This project consists of upgrading the existing booster station pumps with new controls and variable frequency drives; furnish and install additional yard piping and valves; install a Town supplied new high volume booster pump station; provide and install standby power generator and automatic transfer switch for new high volume booster station and tie controls for the existing pumps and new high volume pump into the PLC provided with the high volume booster station. All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Town of Hudson negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactorily Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid. Checks accompanying bids not accepted will be returned to the bidders. The selected Contractor will be required to furnish a 100% Contract Performance Bond and a 100% Contract Payment Bond to cover the execution of the Work which shall be in conformity with the Form of Bonds contained in the Specifications and for the Contract Amount. The Work will be substantially completed within 60 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and complete and ready for final payment within 20 consecutive calendar days past substantial completion.
