We are waiting to see if more can be allocated to the budget.** Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 06/14/2023 2:00 PM (PDT) In general, the scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and transportation for the Greenhouse HVAC Equipment & DDC Controls Furnish and Install Project, on the campus of California State University, San Bernardino. Work consists of replacement of two (2) existing chilled water fan coils, installation of new spiral sheet metal ductwork with registers for continuous airflow. Replace four (4) existing evaporative coolers, two (2) evaporative coolers will be relocated and ductwork to be extended to all four coolers. Addition of Distech Controls to control coolers, fan coils, chilled water pump systems, space heaters, and circulation fans.. Work shall be completed in a timely and safe environment in accordance with the detailed specifications and special conditions. Construction period shall be one hundred fifty (150) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed with a proposed work schedule of August 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023. The estimated budget for this project is limited to $125,000.00. Scope of Work Objective: To replace 2 existing Chilled Water Fan coils and install new Spiral sheet metal ductwork with registers for continuous airflow. Replace 4 existing evaporative coolers, 2 evaporative coolers will be relocated to the opposite side of the greenhouse and extend duct work on all 4 evaporative coolers. Add Distech Controls M # ECY-CSC and ECB-PTU (See Below) to control All Evaporative coolers, Fan coils, chilled water pump systems, space heaters, and circulation fans to maintain temperature and humidity, Scope of Work: o Contractor to replace 4 Evaporative Coolers and extend duct work with registers (See attached Drawing). o Contractor to add Reverse Osmosis to serve all evaporative coolers. Two systems, each system will serve two evaporative coolers. Reverse Osmosis Systems will be mounted as indicated on the drawing by the mech contractor. o Contractor to replace 2 Chilled Water Fan coils, each fan coil will be the same tonnage M# 40RMS016 including control valves and extend ductwork with registers, Duct work shall be suspended by Unistrut stand, and under no circumstance will the ductwork be supported by the greenhouse structure. (See attached drawing) o Contractor shall replace return air Plenums and reinstall opposed blade dampers, should fan Coil #1 be replaced contractor shall provide a new opposed blade damper assembly. o Contractor shall provide a new concrete equipment pad with a dimension no less than 102" x 42" x 5" for Fan Coil 1 should the fan coil be replaced. o All existing chilled water piping in greenhouses is to be covered with .030" PVC covering. (White) Chilled Water Pump & Building Chilled water valve to be reinsulated and covered with Aluminum jacketing .030", Point up all open seams on exterior insulation and make watertight. o New 1 1/2 " Insulation will be required from the isolation ball valve at each fan Coil. covered with .030" PVC covering. o Contractor shall install new glass panes where existing evaporative cooler E2-E3 originally resided. The old glass if correct size may be reinstalled. o Contractor shall replace existing controls with Distech Brand and integrate into the Campus N4 web supervisor with Graphics, Control Logic shall consist of: maintaining temperature, humidity, Start/Stop, Alarm Reporting, Trend data, scheduling, and graphical interface with end-user access so changes can be made from the users of the greenhouse. Submittal Package & Shop Drawings will be required and approved prior to the commencement of work
