The term ofthis contract shall be for a period offive (5) years, with one five-year renewal to be exercised at the sole discretion ofBowie State University. The contract will commence on August 1, 2023, and continue through July 31, 2028. Bowie State University Bookstore available square footage is 3,900 square feet. You are expected to provide a rendering of a proposed full-scale remodel/renovation ofthe space. At a minimum we are expecting all new fixtures and a change from black in the store to using more grey, yellow/gold and white colors. The design should include the latest trends for a university bookstore / spirit shop. In keeping with a spirit shop, the university would be interested in seeing a small space for students to gather/lounge within the store. Bowie State University has an entrepreneurial program where students can have new items available for sale in the bookstore. Up to 20% ofthe space may be allotted for such. Auxiliary Services will purchase these items from students, and you will sell them on behalfofAuxiliary Services while retaining a 5% commission.
