Bowes gate house is located along conduit number 3 in Skaneateles. Its located at a critical spot in the distribution system where the valve is operated on numerous occasions to control the flow of water entering the distribution system. The above ground structure was part of the original construction of the conduit and is leaking. As of April 17, 2025, this project is included in the City of Syracuse Fiscal Year 2026-2031 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
