The scope of the project includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete this project within the Town of Cedar Lake as follows: The Morse Watermain Extension Project includes utility potholing, tree removal, excavation, sign and fence removal and resetting, grading work, stone base construction, tack coat, HMA patching, HMA driveway construction, concrete driveway construction, installation and maintenance of erosion control devices, open cut and hydraulic bore watermain installation including valves, fire hydrants, and fittings, thermoplastic pavement markings, and maintaining of traffic on Morse Street and its approach roadways All Bidders should submit any questions in writing to Christopher. Questions shall be received no later than 5:00 PM (Central) on Friday, June 16, 2023. Responses (as required) will be provided by no later than 5:00 PM (Central) on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising. The Town of Cedar Lake reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and the right to waive informalities in the best interest of the Town A certified check or bank draft payable to the Town of Cedar Lake, or bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price shall be submitted with the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish, execute, and deliver to the Town of Cedar Lake satisfactory performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the Bid Price to guarantee the faithful performance of the Work and payment of suppliers and subcontractors within seven (7) days of the Notice of Award.
