As of February 15, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The purpose of this seawall and roadway reconstruction project is to remove approximately 350' of failing seawall and construct a reinforced concrete seawall with pedestrian sidewalk and railing. The proposed project consists of the complete reconstruction of approximately 350 feet of reinforced concrete seawall and pedestrian sidewalk and railing on Shore Avenue in the City of Groton. Work will include the installation of a water handling coffer dam system, removal and replacement of stormwater drainage pipe, construction of new seawall, protection of existing utilities and pre and post construction assessments of adjacent eel grass beds All inquiries regarding this request shall be submitted up to the close of business on January 8, 2024, after which time no additional questions will be accepted. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the bids@cityofgroton-ct.gov.
