Scope of Work This is a non-exhaustive list of tasks to be completed by the successful Offeror: A. Remove the existing three (3) 10,000-gallon fuel tanks and replace them with three (3) new 10,000-gallon double-walled act-i00-u underground vehicle fuel tanks Two (2) of the replacement tanks will be for e-87 unleaded gasoline and one split tank will be for UltraLow Sulphur Diesel (60%) and Biodiesel (40%). All of the fuel tanks will have a diameter of 96 inches, and length of 32 feet. They must have 30-year material warranty. B. The interior tank linings must pass a 15,000-volt spark test prior to shipment. C. Demolish three (3) existing fuel dispensers, three sump pumps, the existing fuel monitoring system sensors and all of the electrical and monitoring cables. All of the above shall be replaced with new dispensers, pumps, wiring and a new fuel monitoring system. D. Provide two overspill containment basin for each of the gasoline tanks and one overspill containment basin (one suitable for both fill and vapor recovery) for the diesel/biodiesel tank. The containment basins for filling the tanks must all have drains. E. Install a new 1,000 gallon double-walled, fiberglass underground-installed Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank with a new pump, dispenser, plumbing and wiring. The Offeror shall submit with its Proposal an executed bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Offeror’s total Proposal price. The bond shall include a certified copy of the Power of Attorney of the attorney-in-fact that executed the bond. The Contractor shall, within ten (10) business days following receipt of a notice of intent to award issued by the City, furnish to the City an executed payment bond and executed performance bond, both of which shall: (i) be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract sum; (ii) bear the same effective dates; (iii) be executed prior to the effective date of the Contract and not expire prior to the end of the term of the Contract; and (iv) include a certified copy of the Power of Attorney of the attorney-in-fact that executed the bond. Question Deadline 03/18/2025 at 5:00 PM ET. All questions regarding this Solicitation: (i) shall be submitted in writing by email to the Procurement Division, at procurement@gaithersburgmd.gov. The City reserves the right: (i) to accept or reject any or all Proposals in whole or in part; (ii) to waive any technicalities or informalities in Proposals; and (iii) to cancel or postpone this Solicitation at any time if determined to serve the best interests of the City. The City may reject the Proposal of any Offeror in arrears or in default to the City on any contract, debt, or other obligation.
