Reference number : 1730767 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-06-12 Union Québécoise de réhabilitation des oiseaux de proie (UQROP) is asking for tenders for the construction of its new interpretation centre to be located on its Chouette à voir ! site at 875 rang Salvail in Saint-Jude (Quebec) J0H 1P0. UQROP is a charitable organization whose mission is the conservation of birds of prey and their natural habitat. It has two mandates: the rehabilitation of birds of prey throughout the province of Quebec and public education. It owns 22 hectares of land in Saint-Jude where it operates the Chouette à voir site! UQROP wants to build a building to receive the public all year round. The new interpretation centre will be a 1,600m2 building on two levels. The structure is of exposed glulam wood. In addition, particular attention has been paid to the energy-efficient performance of the building envelope, which will make it one of the most energy-efficient buildings in Quebec. The land of the new building represents a challenge since the water table is very high: the water will be controlled thanks to the various basins and ditches.
