RFI Requests Due - June 12, 2023 RFI Responses Released- June 15, 2023 The work shall be completed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the date which the Contractor is to start the work as provided in the Contract Documents. The OWNER and CONTRACTOR recognize that time is of the essence with this Agreement and that OWNER will suffer financial loss if the Work is not completed within the times specified in Article 3, above, plus any extensions thereof allowed in accordance with the General Conditions of the contract. They also recognize the delays, expense, and difficulties involved in proving the actual loss suffered by OWNER if the Work is not completed on time. If the CONTRACTOR shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Time or any proper extension thereof granted by OWNER, CONTRACTOR shall pay the OWNER One Thousand Two Hundred dollars ($1,200.00) for each calendar day that expires after the time specified in Paragraph 3.1 above for completion and readiness for final payment until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. This project is subject to the State of Connecticut prevailing wage rates. A Payment and Performance bond in the full amount of the Proposal will be required of the successful bidder. The bond must be in the form of a surety bond of a type satisfactory to the Town of Ridgefield. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570. The bond shall be delivered to the Office of the Town Engineer before commencing the work.
