Request for Quote The City of Columbus wishes to make certain public improvements Project #23-10 CR 450 S Signal Improvements Submitted quotes will be opened and taken under advisement at the City of Columbus' Board of Public Works and Safety (BPWS) meeting that morning. Following verification of the lowest responsive and responsible quote, an award will be made at the next BPWS meeting. The City of Columbus expressly reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. The signed Quote Form will be the contract. You are required to submit a fully executed Comprehensive Compliance Form (CCF) along with the contract. You are required to submit a copy of the Certificate of Liability Insurance with the quote. Insurance coverage is required in the amount of not less than Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000) for any one person, nor less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) for any one accident. The work must be completed by October 31, 2023. Failure to complete projects on time will result in the deduction of $100 per calendar day, not counting weekends and holidays, as liquidated damages, from any money due the Contractor. Question Deadline 06/19/2023 at 12:00 PM ET Contractor will be required to obtain a Request for Special Use of Right of Way for any street, traffic lane, alley, parking space or sidewalk closure. 04.01 Intent of Contract The scope of the work shall be loop detector installation, and signal head installation. Installation shall be as shown in the advertisement for bids. All work will be performed at the detailed and specific direction of the City Engineer's office. Contractor shall be prepared to enter into an agreement immediately upon award of Contract. Project shall be completed by October 31, 2023. Failure to complete on time shall result in liquidated damages in the amount indicated in the current Schedule INDOT. 104.03 Maintenance of Traffic Traffic control including signs, lights, flag person, etc., shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Refer to item 30, paragraph 4 of General Conditions, Specification No. 100. The contractor shall install temporary pavement markings as needed to maintain the safe flow of traffic. The cost of the temporary markings shall be included in the cost per ton of the asphalt
