Renovation of a water / sewer project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The project contemplated consists of modifications to five wastewater conveyance system structures at the following four locations: 1.Drop Structure BS0304D and Riser Structure MH09018, Wisconsin State FairGrounds, Southwest of S. 76th St. and W. Adler St., 2.Drop Structure MH03714, Southwest Corner of the Harley Davidson Museumgrounds at the intersection of S. 6th St. and the South Canal of the Menomonee River, 3.Diversion Chamber DC0101, S. 27th St. and W. Howard Ave., and 4.Manhole 01101, N. Milwaukee St. and E. Mason St. The modifications include the removal and replacement of existing sluice and slide gates, demolition and reconstruction of conveyance structure access points and top slabs with cast in place concrete, surface restoration, internal modifications to DC0101, upgrading the existing electrical service to DC0101, removal and replacement of piping, removal and replacement of level sensing equipment, installation of electrically operated gate actuators, bypass pumping, traffic control, and installation of a new gate stem on an existing sluice gate at MH01101.
