Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union (SVSU) invites sophisticated mechanical contractors, general contractors, and construction managers to submit bids for HVAC improvements to Woodford Hollow Elementary School. While primarily HVAC improvements, the work will include procurement and coordination of qualified subcontractors for various trades in support of the work, including without limitation, electrical work, structural work, cutting and patching, and any and all other work to achieve a complete and acceptable finished project. HVAC work includes: Adding an energy recovery ventilator and associated work at Woodford Elementary School. Upgrade control systems as necessary and to accommodate new HVAC equipment. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids. Construction to begin no sooner than June 16, 2023 A Bid Bond in the form ofAIAA310 will be required for 5% of the Construction Cost. A Performance and Payment Bond in the form ofAIAA312 will be required for 100% of the Construction Cost. A payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price is also required. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Contractor shall be subject to comply with any and all governmental regulations and requirements, including without limitation, Equal Employment Opportunity, the Davis-Bacon Act, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards, Act, the Clean AirAct, the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, and the Byrd Anti-Lobbying Amendment. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities, and to accept any bid that the Owner believes is in its best interest. Please note that bidders may submit bids on either one project or both projects, but that a separate bid is required for each building.
