GENERAL: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, anticipates issuing a solicitation for the project described below. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation; accordingly, no response is due at this time. Specific instructions on submitting proposals will be contained in the solicitation documents. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or around -6/17/2023. The entire solicitation package, including all attachments, will be available electronically at www.sam.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. PROJECT SCOPE: The National Park Service (NPS) has a need for the supply and installation of HVAC units at Mammoth Cave. project involves the installation of four HVAC units at one of Mammoth Cave's historic buildings, Bldg. 55, Concession's warehouse. The units to be installed include two new packaged HVAC units with a 100k BTU heat pump. One unit will be a 4-ton unit and the other will be a 2-ton unit, both on the main level. Secondly, two new 1.5-ton split HVAC units will be installed upstairs (one installed on both ends) with 32k BTU heat pumps. All units shall have their own programmable and lockable thermostats. The Contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment, and for performing all installation, testing, and cleanup tasks. The Contractor will also provide staff training on the use and maintenance of the installed HVAC systems. PROCUREMENT TYPE: The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract to meet this requirement. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition has been set-aside for small business concerns. Offers will be solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected.
