The SE Oralabor Road & Convenience Boulevard/Creekview Drive Traffic Signal Replacement project includes the replacement of the existing traffic signal at the intersection of SE Oralabor Rd and Convenience Blvd/Creekview Dr as well as sidewalk modifications, curb modifications, and full depth roadway patching near the intersection. The construction improvements include approximately 1,160 SY of full depth patching of PCC pavement, 250 SY of PCC sidewalk, 350 SY of sidewalk removal, a traffic signal, and traffic signal removal. Other associated improvements include temporary traffic control, a partial temporary traffic signal, fiber optic connection modifications at three (3) nearby intersections, mobilization, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. Additional Description: The Project is generally separated into two Sites of work identified as Site "A" and Site "B". Site "A" work is all non-traffic signal related work including all sidewalk and PCC patching work. Site "B" work is generally described as the traffic signal replacement and associated work. Site "A" work shall begin no earlier than July 31, 2023 and shall be substantially completed by November 10, 2023. Substantially complete shall be defined as all sidewalk removals, sidewalk installation, curb modifications, and full depth PCC patching, removal of all associated traffic control, and traffic is fully open to pre-project conditions. Should the Contractor fail to substantially complete the Site "A" work by November 10, 2023, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated Contract term(s). Site "B" work shall be substantially completed within twenty (20) working days from a mutually agreed upon start date pending City-furnished traffic signal material delivery dates. Substantially complete shall be defined as being achieved with the switchover to the fully operational proposed traffic signal. Should the Contractor fail to substantially complete the Site "B" work within this timeframe, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated Contract term(s). The Contractor shall fully complete the overall project within ten (10) working days after the overall project has been substantially completed as previously noted in this section. Fully complete shall be defined as all surface restoration being completed, all punchlist items addressed, and all improvements being ready for final acceptance. Should the Contractor fail to fully complete the overall work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated Contract term(s).
