As of January 9, 2024, a design firm has been selected. At this time, construction is not expected until 2027. The Waukesha County Department of Public Works ("the Sponsor") is interested in obtaining the services of an engineering/design consulting firm ("the Consultant") for the facility development process. The process will result in the design and preparation of preliminary and final plans, PS&E documents, and reports, for the pavement replacement and geometric redesign of approximately 0.2 miles of Pewaukee Road (CTH J) and 0.2 miles of CTH FT (Northview Road) in the City of Waukesha ("the Project"). A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from the engineering/design firm will be reviewed in order to evaluate, rank and select a firm for the services for the Project located in the City of Waukesha, Waukesha County. Questions Due Date: Jun 13th 2023, 10:00 AM CDT Intent to Bid Due Date: Jun 27th 2023, 2:00 PM CDT This segment of CTH J is a vital commuter link to the I-94 corridor as well as the local businesses and municipalities. The project will provide positively offset left-turn lanes in the northbound and southbound directions to improve driver visibility of opposing traffic. Improvements may include: replacing the existing pavement, reconfiguring intersections to improve safety, replacing older traffic signal equipment, minor grading, median installation, storm sewer improvements. Access to businesses will be required to be maintained during construction. As part of the design, the pavement replacement as well as lane geometrics shall be evaluated to accommodate current and future traffic requirements and volumes. This project requires survey, the development of preliminary and final plans, environmental review and all reports required and outlined within the contract documents, including all reports and work necessary to complete the P.S.& E. documents for the construction of this Pewaukee Road project.
