Site work for a water / sewer project in Logan, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Prior to any rehabilitation work, sewer lines and manholes to be repaired shall be thoroughly cleaned. After cleaning, the sewer sections shall be visually inspected by means of closed circuit television. The inspection will be done one sewer section at a time and the flow in the section being inspected will be suitably controlled as specified The intent of pipe joint testing is to identify those sewer pipe joints that are defective (allowing groundwater to enter the sewer system) and that can be successfully sealed by the internal pipe joint sealing process. Testing of joints which are visibly leaking (infiltrating) is unnecessary because the intent of testing is obviously attained. Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond, in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Hocking County Commissioners, or by certified check, cashier's check Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price.
