The South Tahoe Public Utility District (District) is seeking proposals from engineering firms specializing in wastewater treatment processes to provide design services for the RAS Pump Station Building Rehabilitation Project, which includes the existing RAS/WAS pump station building and associated RAS/WAS piping, and potential improvements to the existing mixed liquor splitter box, secondary influent pipelines, secondary influent junction box, secondary clarifiers, and secondary effluent pipelines at the District’s wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The selected consultant will be expected to assist the District to: 1) develop and analyze alternatives for rehabilitation of the RAS system (at a minimum, centralized versus de-centralized RAS alternatives analysis should be included), 2) develop a Basis of Design Report for the civil, mechanical, electrical, and process improvements selected by the District, and 3) develop plans, specifications, construction sequencing, and estimates of probable costs for construction of the project. The work will be performed by the selected consultant under the District’s Master Services Agreement for Consulting Services (see template in Attachment D) and a Task Order for a defined Scope of Work.
