Scope of Work includes mass grading and excavation of approximately 30 acres to develop an area more suitable for future industrial development. In addition to grading, the project scope generally includes clearing and grubbing of the approximate 30-acre working area. Large trees within the working area were cut down under a previous contract, with stumps left in place. In addition, work will include construction of an unpaved (gravel) site access road with an approximate length of 1,900 feet, with two cross-drain type culverts, construction of (2) stormwater detention/sediment ponds and associated outlet works, installation of construction phase erosion and sediment prevention control measures, and site stabilization Project shall be subject to the provisions of a Governmental Grant Contract administrated by the Tennessee Valley Authority. In addition, construction work will be subject to an NPDES permit covered under the State of Tennessee's Construction General permit, as administrated by the Department of Environment and Conservation. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee and Tennessee Valley Authority.
