Columbia County (County) hereby requests sealed bids for water piping in the Huber kitchen at the County Jail in Portage, WI. Any person with disability requiring special accommodations must contact the County no later than (seven) 7 days prior to the pre-bid meeting or the bid opening In accordance with Wisconsin Statutes Section 779.14(1m)(e), Bonds are required for the work. A 5% Bid Bond shall be delivered with the Bid on the date due. Performance and Payments bonds of this Contract and as required under Wisconsin Statutes Section 779.14(1m)(d) must carry a penalty in at least the amount of the Contract, and be conditioned upon: (1) the faithful performance of the Contract; and (2) the payment to "every person, including every subcontractor, supplier, or service provider, of all claims that are entitled to payment for labor, services, materials, plans, or specifications performed, furnished, or procured for the purpose of making the public improvement or performing the public work as provided in the contract. Wisconsin Statutes Section 779.14(1m)(e)2. All bids shall be submitted on the County form provided herein and in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside; the name of the Bidder, the Bidder's address, and the project name (Huber Kitchen Water Piping). Please provide three (3) copies. Bid price shall remain in effect for sixty (60) days from the date and time of the bid opening. All bids received after the Bid Opening date listed above may be rejected. County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and is not bound to accept any bid if that bid is contrary to the best interest of Columbia County.
