Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (“VTA”) through this Request for Information (“RFI”) is seeking information from organizations (each an “Organization”) for a countywide centralized signal priority (“TSP”) system that it intends to develop. VTA may use the information gathered as a result of this RFI to plan the acquisition strategy. A subsequent Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or other similar solicitation may rely on information obtained as a result of this RFI. VTA is a special district responsible for public transit services, congestion management, highway improvement projects, and countywide transportation planning for the County. VTA as the public transit service provider serves a county with a population over 1.8 million, an area over 340 square miles, an annual transit ridership over 35 million in 2019, over 1200 round trip miles for its bus services, and 82 track miles for its light rail services.
