Renovation of a military facility in Union Water Works, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 11,200-square-foot military facility.

The scope of work includes but is not limited to design of a pre-engineered metal building. The new facility will require vehicle access via extending York Road, expansion of the existing perimeter security fencing and parking. Scope also includes Building 2-77 demolition; removal of all foundations & associated utilities to a specific point; abandon, remove, and cap existing utilities; & site restoration. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION: Construct a facility with reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, steel structure, masonry walls and standing seam metal roof, environmental control (heating, air conditioning and ventilation), fire detection and protection, mass notification system, etc. Functional areas include command administrative space, training space, and equipment storage. Special facility conditions include open storage requirements for training and production spaces. Supporting facilities include relocation of existing utilities, supporting utilities, pavements, site improvements, communications, and all necessary support. Demolition includes building 02077. Department of Defense principles for high performance and sustainable building requirements will be included in the design and construction of the project in accordance with federal laws and Executive Orders. Low Impact Development features will be included in the design and construction of this project as appropriate. This project will provide AntiTerrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) features and comply with AT/FP regulations and physical security mitigation in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings. This project will comply with the requirements for cybersecurity of facility related control systems. The Department of General Services Capital Programs and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals.
