Sealed Statements of Qualifications from competent design firms and design teams for the Front Street Town Docks Bulkhead and Boardwalk Improvements Design project will be received by the Town Engineer of the Town of Beaufort at Town Hall, 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC Qualification statements are being sought from design firms or teams interested in designing and permitting waterfront improvements along the Towns Front Street waterfront to included replacement of the bulkhead and boardwalk at the Town Docks plus the extension of the boardwalk approximately 400 feet from the Town Docks boardwalk to a Town park. The selected firm or team may also be requested to provide construction administration and observation services. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and subsequent procurement of the needed professional services will be governed by North Carolina General Statue 143-64.31, otherwise referred to as the Mini-Brooks Act. In addition, the Town requires that statement of qualifications be sealed. The Town of Beaufort is not responsible for late delivery by the United States Postal Service or any other courier. All inquiries for information regarding this RFP are to be directed to the Town of Beaufort staff member issuing this request for qualifications. Proposers must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9 for all portions of the work that require licensure. The Town of Beaufort reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all qualification statements, and to enter into negotiation of an agreement based upon the qualifications deemed to be in the Towns best interest.
