Site work, remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
This is a Design Build project. The Main gate at NAS Pensacola currently has manned guard shacks, passive vehicle barriers, and speed bumps. The gate is not equipped with any active vehicle barriers, resulting in the inability of security personnel from stopping gate runners. This project will install final denial barriers (FDBs), covering inbound and outbound traffic lanes, at the Main entry control point (ECP) at NAS Pensacola in order to prevent the entry of unauthorized vehicles. Barriers are to be active wedge-type barrier systems with reaction blocks, high performance sump pumps, and other technology that will allow the barriers to continue smooth, reliable operation even when exposed to salt water spray, sand, leaves, pine needles, gravel, and other hazards.
