Question Deadline 06/16/2023 The site work at the City Utilities' Galloway Substation, 2660 E. Seminole St., Springfield, Missouri will include, but is not limited to: - Making an addition to, and modifying the existing driveway with paving and curbing re-design - Restoration of any damage caused by the construction work performed. - The work will also include marking up construction issue drawings for as built changes and/or deviations from the design drawings; returning to City Utilities completed certain test and checkout/inspection documents and as-built drawings; and miscellaneous other work as detailed within these contract specifications. - Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to accomplish the work unless otherwise stated that these items will be supplied by City Utilities as identified within the technical Specifications. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with an adequate surety, naming the City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri, as obligee, in a penal sum equal to five percent of the maximum bid price excluding options, or in lieu thereof, a certified check drawn on a Federally insured banking institution, payable to City Utilities in the same amount as the penalty of the Bond. The Bond or Check shall be conditioned that should a bidder, after award, fail to enter into a contract, then the entire amount of the Bond or Check shall become the property of the City Utilities, or City Utilities shall be entitled to recover the entire penal sum of the Bond or Check without further proof of damage. Bid Checks will be returned to all unsuccessful bidders within a period of thirty days following contract execution. The Contractors work on this project is to start as soon as possible after July 5th, 2023, and be substantially completed by July 31st, 2023, such that City Utilities (CU) may resume normal use of ingress and egress routes for the substation.
